Ngunnawal Country (Canberra) - 2024
Developed in collaboration with Studio Gilay and Ngunnawal Elders, this audiovisual projection reimagines the complex trade systems of First Nations communities. 3D shells, fibres, weapons, and seeds drift across animated Country, revealing ancient networks of exchange in a dreamlike and moving welcome.
Technology
Looping video is projected onto a curved wall via an Epson projector using 4K enhancement.
Because 4K enhancement disables the projectors onboard warping features, Madmapper is used for video playback as well as mapping the projection to the curved surface.
