Powerplay
- Casula Powerhouse
Darug Country (Sydney) - 2024
Once a power station for Sydney, now an art space, the building is recharged through movement instead of machinery.
As people move, their energy translates into shifting light and colour that pulse like heat through a furnace. Each hue reflects the temperature and rhythm of motion, turning physical effort into a field of art and energy.
A work that reconnects the site’s industrial past with the creative energy that now drives it.
Technology
Built in Unity, Powerplay uses Orbbec depth cameras and Pointcaster to translate movement into live visuals on a large format projection. Data streamed via ZeroMQ drives particle effects and colour fields that expand with collective energy.
