Kaurna Country (Adelaide) - 2023
Rather than showing data on screens, the architecture becomes the interface, shifting in response to collective answers to a series of ethical questions.
The space contracts for some responses and opens for others, using light and movement to express the weight of shared thought. In turning data into atmosphere, the work transforms information into feeling.
Technology
Developed in C++ a bespoke application controls 35 motorised blinds through a CBUS interface. A web-based CMS captures audience input and synchronised lighting cues, translating real-time responses into movement.
The result is a kinetic, data-driven sculpture that turns collective thought into physical form.
